Warning! Clogged Dryer Vents Can Cause Fires!

Designed by an expert with over 20 years in the appliance repair industry, this unique, simple device easily fits onto the back of your dryer and monitors your dryer’s airflow performance.

Clogs happen when lint bypasses your dryer lint filter and builds up in your dryer venting system; causing it to run longer, work harder and possibly overheat. DrySafer Dryer Vent Alarm is a unique, patent pending device that detects insufficient air flow inside the dryer exhaust ducts, caused by this excessive lint build-up. If your air flow performance drops below a safe level, our device will send out a warning signal alerting you to a potential problem in your dryer venting system.

Blockages can also occur when squirrels, chipmunks and birds make nests in your venting system.

Clothes dryers are associated with approximately 15,600 fires annually, resulting in 20 deaths and 370 injuries.

Hidden Danger In Today’s New Homes

Today, many newer homes tend to have dryers located away from an outside wall: in bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and hall closets. This results in longer dryer venting conduit hidden in walls and ceilings. This design increases the risk of lint accumulations inside areas that are inaccessible. The dryer has to work harder to force the air up the wall, across the ceiling to the outside exhaust hood. With DrySafer, lint accumulations are detected before a potential disaster can occur. Detection protection starts today.

How Does DrySafer Work?

DrySafer Dryer Vent Alarm is made of two components; an Airflow Sensor connected by a communication cord to an Alarm Module. The Airflow Sensor monitors the flow of air in your dryer duct system, while the Alarm Module houses the electronics and communications system. The DrySafer Airflow Sensor attaches to the back of your dryer's exhaust pipe and monitors the air flow out of your dryer. If an obstruction in the vent system or the dryer's lint filter housing is detected, the Airflow Sensor will monitor the restricted air flow for a period of one minute. If the obstruction is not cleared in that time period, the Airflow Sensor will alert the Alarm Module and a warning signal will sound.

When an obstruction builds up in the vent line it reduces the air flow of the dryer. Once the airflow of the dryer becomes restricted the dryer can over heat. Our Drysafer sensor monitors the airflow and will alert you to this condition. In addition, our Air Flow sensor will also monitor the lint filter housing. Over time, even with proper care, lint will collect inside your dryer's lint filter housing and restrict the airflow. Once this happens the dryer runs the risk of overheating. Once Dysafer is connected to your venting system it will monitor the entire airflow of your system which includes the dryer, lint filter housing and venting system.

If a clog is detected, our Airflow Sensor will monitor the situation for a period of 1 minute, if after 1 minute the clog is not removed, the Airflow Sensor sends a signal to the Alarm Module to sound the alarm; a series of audible tones along with visual blinking LED signals. Ten beeps and blinks, followed by a 60 second delay repeats until the reset button is pushed or the blockage is removed.
