About Safety First

DrySafer is the culmination of the efforts of Mr. Thomas Asciolla and Mr. Larry Paterno.

Thomas is founder and CEO of Apex Appliance, a well established appliance service business within the New England region of the U.S. Thomas has multiple refrigeration and electronics certifications for repairing all major appliances, including washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and ovens.

Larry Paterno is a partner and Vice President of Apex Appliance Service, Inc. He has 7 years experience servicing all major appliances and cleaning dryer ducts. Larry is also a degreed engineer in Fiber Optic Splicing, Fiber Optic Design and AutoCAD Design Software and has corporate sales experience.

DrySafer represents the industry’s first solution to detect poor air flow in dryer ventilating systems. DrySafer employs the use of existing circuit board, transmitter and engineering technology for speed to market and cost efficient start-up. Both collaborated on the development of DrySafer and have tested a number of prototypes to assure concept viability.

Once concept viability was proven, Tom and Larry teamed up with Jack Terrazas, a recognized and proven expert within the consumer products field to round out the team’s requirements in sales and marketing. Jack has over 30 years experience in corporate planning, marketing and sales with a number of major branded categories.

Their R & D mantra is to engineer products that help improve the safety of residential and commercial properties by minimizing potential injury due to hazardous conditions. They have chosen for their company name Safety First Appliance Protection LLC with the objective of developing corporate recognition within the areas of product safety for residential and commercial applications.

DrySafer, Safety First’s initial product offering, will serve the needs of the entire clothes dryer aftermarket service industry, where appliance parts are sold. Given the ease of installation and affordability, DrySafer will allow service repairmen to offer homeowners the opportunity to reduce the chance of injury, extensive property damage or even possible death due to excessive overheating of their clothes dryers.

Safety First will continue to improve its product technology through R&D by incorporating market user feedback. This will assure on-going improvement throughout its quality assurance process, manufacturing operations and marketing initiatives.

Dozens of appliance repair serviceman and DIY’ers have tested the prototype and the response has been overwhelming. Safety First will be gathering written testimonials for use in market entry promotional materials.

Safety First’s future plans are to develop and produce unique, highly affordable products designed to be effective in purpose and safety. The wide and various distribution channels available to stock and promote DrySafer will greatly increase the visibility, value and utilization of Safety First’s resources.

Safety First Appliance Protection LLC is incorporated in the state of New Jersey.
